The main goal of CovertSpeed.net is to help racers improve their racing program. This will be done with tech videos and articles to help racers gain knowledge.
I have been around racing all 41 years of my life(soon to be 42). The Covert Family has been racing since the 1940's. I call Topeka, KS home. A great place to be from, a lot race tracks in the area and the center of the mid-west, so it is easy to travel around to different states to see some great special races.
I have raced many different cars, mainly IMCA type modifieds, I have raced street stocks on and off, I even took a few laps in a dwarf car. So my driving experiences have been varied.
For a few years, I owned and operated Covert Racing Parts, and I even tried my hand at promoting a dirt track. I couldn't get the need for speed out from under my finger nails, that is when I started CovertSpeed.net. I have always enjoyed helping racers out, whether it is giving advice from years of racing experience or getting my hands dirty by yielding a wrench.
Through the years I have been able to make a lot of contacts in the racing industry, from drivers to manufacturers. I plan on using these contacts to help the racers out and improve their racing program. CovertSpeed will be able to help the racer become more knowledgeable. As a racer, you always learning and improving, if you do not, you fall behind. Thus "Knowledge is Horsepower".
CovertSpeed will not only improve the racers knowledge but offer discounts to top high performance manufacturers to keep money in the racer's pocket.
